Nurses gain experience through ongoing skill development and leadership growth.
Many APRNs start in direct patient care but often transition into leadership roles. When you are ready for this transition, consider adding a second certification to support you in your career advancement as an APRN:
Nurse Executive or Nurse Executive Advanced Certification (NE-BC, NEA-BC): Validates expertise in leading healthcare teams, influencing policy, and shaping organizational strategy.
Nurse Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC): Recognizes expertise in designing and implementing educational programs that support lifelong learning for nurses.
Advanced Practice & Specialty Certifications: Beyond core APRN credentials, ANCC provides a range of APRN certifications, to support advanced studies and specialty certifications, to validate expertise in specialized practice areas.
ANCC offers a 50% discount off of second initial certifications!
