The Sky Unites Us: Recognizing NPs Who Elevate Care and Inspire Those Around Them
A Special Message from Dr. DeGarmo and Dr. Page
Celebrating NP Week
As Nurse Practitioners (NPs) with the Advanced Practice Initiatives & Certification Outreach Team, we wish all of our fellow NPs a happy NP Week and sincerely thank you for all that you do. Whether you serve on the frontlines, in education, in leadership, or in advancing professional development, please know that we are here to support you. Having shared similar professional experiences, we understand the challenges and rewards of your work. As the Director of Advanced Practice Initiatives & Certification Outreach and the APRN Educational & Faculty Outreach Program Manager, we remain committed to lending our support and a helping hand.
In alignment with our mission to provide you with valuable resources, we are also here to inspire you—because there should be no limit to what you can achieve in your profession.
Sean DeGarmo, PhD, APRN, ACNS-BC, FNP-BC, ENP-BC Director of Advanced Practice Initiatives & Certification Outreach & Tonya L. Page, DNP, APRN, ACNP-BC, LSSGB, FCCS-C APRN Educational & Faculty Outreach Program Manager
As we continue to soar together in our NP journey, we recognize the many roles you fulfill: serving as the first line of care in the community and the last line of defense in emergencies. From flight nurses delivering life-saving interventions midair, to emergency and acute care NPs stabilizing critical patients, to primary care providers managing complex chronic conditions — NPs are present wherever patients need them most.
Your work demands precision, confidence, and a profound understanding of human resilience. Yet what truly sets NPs apart is not only their ability to act decisively in critical moments, but also their dedication to sharing knowledge so that others may rise to meet the same challenges. To support your continued growth, our APRN Webinar Series offers opportunities to expand your expertise while earning continuing education (CE) credits — with some sessions including pharmacology hours, depending on the topic. Through this platform, we aim to empower nurses to educate, uplift, and inspire one another. To stay informed about our upcoming free webinars hosted by Dr. Page, or to register, please follow us on Facebook:
