After three years of heroic and unparalleled pandemic care delivery, nurses need us to give more than just a promise of improving the health care system. They need the resources to actively create a better system. Achieving equitable access to care, affordability, and consistently excellent outcomes is critical. Nurses, as the largest and most trusted contingent of healthcare professionals, are a natural catalytic force for transforming care delivery and are best positioned to assure that patients, families, and communities can truly thrive.

American Nurses Foundation is dedicated to transforming the nation’s health through the power of nursing. We find and fund new ways of solving problems, generate new ideas and tools, and lay the framework to promote a more positive experience for both nurses and patients. However, to do so we need your help.

Donations from people like you help us support our nurses to provide critical care by funding new care solutions. Together, we can elevate the nursing profession’s capability to match the future demands of health by investing in research and innovation.

Our Reimagining Nursing (RN) Initiative invests in opportunities for transformative change that lie at the intersection of education, regulation, and practice. We support 14 pilot projects, testing bold, innovative, and risky (but not reckless) ideas that equip and enable nurses with leading-edge knowledge, tools, environments, and systems to deliver exemplary care.

Our Nursing Research Grants program advances nursing science and enhances patient outcomes. We fund nurse researchers to conduct studies that make an impact on the nursing profession and healthcare practice, research, and academia.
